This prelab focuses on the nature of solutions to vector difference equations, which usually have complex natural frequencies. We also review how to use difference equations to model systems (such as a crane, and more to the point, the copter-levitated arm you will see in lab). Finally, we will talk a little about adding delta feedback to stabilize systems.

In the lab, you will discover that the matrix approach, while comprehensive, does not offer much insight into controller design, and next week we will begin discussing alternatives.
