This prelab focuses on the nature of solutions to vector difference equations, which usually have complex natural frequencies. The examples below review how to use difference equations to model systems (such as a crane, and perhaps surprisingly, Lab1's speed control system). Finally, we will talk a little about adding delta feedback to stabilize systems.
In the lab, you will discover that the matrix approach, while comprehensive, does not offer much insight into controller design, will begin discussing alternatives.
